Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms with specialized cardiac surgical equipment and supplies
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during open-heart and vascular procedures
• Monitor patient conditions and maintain sterile surgical environments
• Administer medications and treatments as required
• Maintain accurate patient and surgical documentation
• Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality surgical care

Requirements

• Active RN License in Nebraska
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS Certifications required
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile techniques
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-acuity surgical environments
• Strong teamwork and organizational abilities
